ALWAGHT- American and British forces have launched fresh airstrikes on Yemen's capital, prompting Ansarullah to vow retaliation.
The airstrikes on Friday targeted the Ma’een District in Sanaa, Yemen’s capital, though no casualties were reported. Residents described the intensity of the blasts, which shook homes, while Israeli media denied any involvement in these operations. Nasr al-Din Amer, an official from the Ansarullah movement, emphasized that Yemen’s retaliatory attacks against Israel would escalate unless aggression in Gaza ceased. He reiterated that the ongoing Israeli actions had only strengthened the Yemeni people's resolve to support Palestine.
This latest assault follows Thursday’s Israeli attacks on Yemen’s infrastructure, including Sanaa's international airport, which resulted in six fatalities. In response, tens of thousands gathered in Sanaa on Friday to denounce the Israeli strikes and show solidarity with Palestinians. Protesters declared a shift in strategy, stating that any attacks on Yemeni infrastructure would be met with reciprocal strikes on Israeli targets. Demonstrators pledged unwavering support for Gaza and called for intensified Yemeni retaliation against Israeli aggression.
Nationwide rallies were held across Yemeni provinces, including Sa’ada, Hudaydah, and al-Mahwit, under the banner “We firmly stand with Gaza.” Protesters carried Yemeni and Palestinian flags, chanting slogans such as “escalation for escalation” and demanding continued resistance against Israel. The rallies reflected widespread solidarity with Palestinians and a unified stance against Israeli operations in Yemen and Gaza.
The conflict stems from Israel's ongoing war on Gaza, which began after the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led Operation Al-Aqsa Storm. The Israeli regime’s campaign has so far killed over 45,436 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured more than 108,038 others. Thousands remain missing under rubble as Gaza endures one of the deadliest periods in its history amidst relentless bombardment.
