ALWAGHT- The spokesman for the IRGC Ground Force Quds Base announced that during the Security Martyrs drill, 26 members of terrorist groups were killed, and 50 others were taken into custody in Sistan and Baluchistan Province.
General Ahmad Shafaei announced that the IRGC Ground Force Quds Base conducted clearance operations as part of the Security Martyrs operational drill.
He emphasized that the primary objective of the drill was to enhance security.
The Security Martyrs drill, conducted by the IRGC Ground Force Quds Base, aimed to enhance counter-terrorism capabilities and bolster security in the volatile region of Sistan and Baluchistan Province, located in southeastern Iran. This province has historically been a hotspot for terrorist activities, primarily due to the presence of separatist and militant groups, including some affiliated with foreign powers.
As part of the drill, Iranian forces carried out targeted operations to neutralize terrorist elements operating in the region. According to the IRGC spokesman, 26 militants were killed, and 50 others were apprehended. These actions are part of a broader effort to eliminate terrorist threats and disrupt the operations of these groups, which have been involved in smuggling, attacks on Iranian military and civilian targets, and other destabilizing activities.
The drill also focused on enhancing the coordination and readiness of Iran's forces in combating terrorism. General Ahmad Shafaei, the spokesperson, emphasized that the core objective was to strengthen security and ensure that the region remains under the control of Iranian authorities. This operation is seen as a key part of Iran’s ongoing efforts to maintain stability and prevent external interference in its domestic security matters.
