Yemeni Forces Strike a Military Base in Tel Aviv with a Hypersonic Missile

Yemeni Forces Strike a Military Base in Tel Aviv with a Hypersonic Missile

ALWAGHT- Yemen’s Armed Forces have announced the launch of a hypersonic ballistic missile at a military base near Jaffa in Tel Aviv as part of a "high-profile operation."

In a statement on Monday, Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that the Rocketry Force had carried out a "high-profile military operation" targeting the Nahal Sorek military base southeast of Jaffa. The operation, reported by Yemen’s al-Masirah television network, involved a Palestine-2 missile, which Saree said was accurately deployed, causing a fire to break out near the target area.

Saree explained that the strike was conducted "in support of the oppressed peoples of Palestine and Lebanon, and in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese resistances, as part of the fifth stage of Yemen's escalation against the Israeli regime."

This operation was not the first time Yemeni forces had launched such a projectile towards occupied territories. The strike occurred amid Israel's ongoing genocidal war against Gaza and its deadly escalation against Lebanon since October 2023, which has led to over 43,600 Palestinian deaths, mostly women and children, and at least 3,136 Lebanese casualties. In addition to conducting hundreds of operations, Yemeni forces have targeted Israeli ships and vessels to exert economic pressure on the regime.

“The Yemeni Armed Forces will continue their military operations until the aggression stops, the siege on Gaza is lifted, and the aggression against Lebanon ends,” Saree affirmed.
