ALWAGHT- Hamas has initiated a media campaign in support of the movement, following its call for global public demonstrations outside the embassies of the Zionist regime and the United States.
In a statement, Hamas announced: "We urge all media outlets and social media activists, both Arab and international, to focus on the campaign to besiege the embassies of the US and the Zionist regime, which is being launched online to denounce the killings in northern Gaza." The statement further mentioned: "The campaign, under the hashtag '#SiegeTheEmbassies,' has drawn participation from hundreds of thousands globally."
Earlier, Khalil al-Hayya, deputy head of Hamas' political bureau in Gaza, called on people worldwide to stage protests outside US and Zionist regime embassies in response to recent atrocities against Palestinians in northern Gaza.
In an interview, al-Hayya appealed to Arab nations and international organizations to take urgent action to protect Palestinian civilians being martyred in northern Gaza.
As the Zionist regime's military operations intensify in northern Gaza on the 382nd day of the conflict, a brutal massacre has occurred across various areas of the Gaza Strip. Northern Gaza has been under siege for 18 days as part of what is known as the "Generals' Plan."
Meanwhile, Human Rights Watch has reported that the Zionist regime is using forced displacement and starvation as tools of war in Gaza.
Previously, Joyce Msuya, the Acting Under-Secretary- General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator of the UN, described the situation in northern Gaza as "horrific," calling for an immediate halt to the Zionist regime's atrocities and urging adherence to interim orders from the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
