ALWAGHT- Members of Iraqi resistance groups have carried out separate drone and missile attacks on strategic targets in Israeli-occupied territories, responding to Israel's ongoing military operations in Gaza, according to statements made on Sunday.
Fighters associated with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for a drone strike on a "vital" site in the 1948 Israeli-occupied territories on Sunday morning, according to a statement posted on the group's Telegram channel. They asserted that the attack was part of their ongoing resistance against the Israeli regime and a show of support for Palestinians in Gaza, emphasizing the need to retaliate for the atrocities committed against women, children, and the elderly in the besieged area.
Shortly after the drone strike, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced another operation, stating that they used advanced al-Arqab cruise missiles to target locations in northern Israeli-occupied territories. Additional attacks were carried out using kamikaze drones aimed at positions in the southern regions of the occupied territories.
The group also reported targeting a "Zionist military base" in the northern Jordan Valley with drones. Since October of last year, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has conducted a series of strikes against Israeli targets in response to what they describe as Israel's "genocidal" war on Gaza. As of now, at least 41,391 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have lost their lives in the conflict, with 95,760 others injured and more than 1.7 million displaced.
