ALWAGHT- The Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement condemned an Israeli strike on a Gaza City school housing displaced Palestinians, accusing Israel of waging a genocidal war in the region.
The resistance group dismissed the ongoing ceasefire negotiations as "treachery and deceit," calling for global condemnation and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Hezbollah released a statement on Saturday denouncing the Israeli attack on al-Tabin school in the Daraj neighborhood of central Gaza City, which was being used as a shelter for displaced Palestinians.
The group asserted that the assault underscores Israel’s commitment to a genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people and a deliberate policy of mass killings.
“The Israeli regime’s actions confirm its determination to carry out a genocidal war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and its explicit policy of mass murder,” the statement read.
Hezbollah also criticized the international community's inaction regarding the ongoing Israeli violence, stressing that global nations have a moral and ethical duty to stop what it described as crimes and massacres perpetrated by the Zionist enemy.
The Gaza Health Ministry has reported that since October 7, Israeli military attacks have resulted in at least 39,790 deaths and 91,702 injuries in Gaza.
In the latest 24-hour reporting period, the ministry recorded 40 Palestinian fatalities and 140 injuries.
