ALWAGHT- Today, Syrian media indicated that preparations are in progress for an upcoming Damascus-Ankara meeting in Baghdad.

According to this report from the Syrian newspaper "Al-Watan," informed sources indicate that substantial progress has been made towards bringing Syria and Turkey back to the negotiating table soon.

Al-Watan's sources added that the upcoming meeting between Damascus and Ankara in Baghdad, Iraq's capital, will initiate a comprehensive negotiation process that may result in political and operational agreements.

These sources elaborate that Ankara has urged Moscow and Baghdad to facilitate a direct bilateral dialogue, excluding other nations and media, to discuss the necessary details for revitalizing relations between the two countries and restoring them to their previous state.

The newspaper further reported that efforts to renew negotiations and enhance Ankara-Damascus relations have garnered significant Arab support, particularly from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, alongside backing from Russia, China, and Iran.
