ALWAGHT- The Foreign Minister of Iran stated that two days prior to the operation “True Promise,” a warning was issued to the American side and countries hosting American bases. It was emphasized that if America acts against Iran's interests, our response to American bases in the region will be swift and resolute.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Foreign Minister, stated today (Wednesday) during the Cabinet meeting: "I held discussions with Mr. Sameh Shoukry, Egypt's Foreign Minister, during my recent trip, and both countries are committed to establishing communication. Therefore, we are currently devising a roadmap to restore diplomatic relations."
Regarding the ceasefire in Gaza, he highlighted: "Hamas has positively responded within its principles to the realistic proposal from Egypt and Qatar and has agreed to it."
The Foreign Minister further stated: "If the Americans and Westerners uphold their promises and no other events occur, we will witness a ceasefire in Gaza. However, Netanyahu and the extremists of the Zionist regime seek to prolong the war because ending it would lead to a new crisis in the occupied territories."
Referring to Operation “True Promise,” he commented: "Two days before Operation True Promise, we declared that our target is not neighboring countries and American bases but rather the Israeli regime."
The Foreign Minister elaborated: "In this communication, we cautioned that should America act against Iran's interests, our reaction towards American bases in the area will be swift and resolute. We have conveyed to our allies hosting American bases: 'Our ties are founded on fraternity, yet should America exceed its limits, we will target these bases.'"
Amir-Abdollahian underscored: "Prominent neighboring nations have assured us of their commitment to prevent any attacks on Iran from their territories."
He remarked: "Upon the decision for Operation True Promise, Western nations, particularly America's European allies, reached out to us extensively. Their primary plea was for us to refrain from retaliation against the Zionist regime's unlawful assault on Iran's consulate in Syria. We reiterated our firm intention to respond to Israel's terrorist attack."
