MSC Organizers on Wrong Track, Made a Mistake Inviting Israeli officials: Iranian FM Spokesman

Alwaght: The Iranian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson denounced the organizers of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) for taking advantage of the forum to express their unconstructive opinions and inviting the Zionist officials to partake in its most recent meeting.

“We are decidedly worried about the Munich Security Conference and about the purposes its founders had defined,” Nasser Kanaani told reporters at a presser on Monday.

He said the MSC organizers are on the wrong track by turning the conference into a mechanism for expressing their own unconstructive and unfair views against independent states.

Deploring the organizers of the MSC for excluding certain countries with a significant role in regional security and inviting the notorious criminal officials with a dark record to the conference, Kanaani said, “If only the conference had invited the legitimate representatives of the Palestinian nation to declare their views instead of inviting the officials of the Zionist regime who have committed genocide.”

The 60th Munich Security Conference ended on Sunday after talks among many international decision-makers, including heads of state and government, ministers of defense and foreign affairs, as well as leading figures from academia, business and civil society.

The conference was also attended by the Israeli president, Isaac Herzog, whose regime has killed 29,000 Palestinians in Gaza since October 7.
