Tension in the Red Sea; Ansarullah ready to challenge America

Alwaght- The spokesman to the Yemeni armed forces General Yahya Saree said Yemeni forces struck a new British ship, vowing that Ansarullah will continue its ban on Israeli ships and ports for ongoing Gaz genocide.

Saree named the ship struck in Gulf of Aden RUBYMAR.

He also added that Yemeni forces shot down an incursive American MQ9 drone over Hudaydah province.

"The navy of the Yemeni Armed Forces, with the help of God Almighty, carried out a qualitative military operation, targeting a British ship in the Gulf of Aden “RUBYMAR” with a number of appropriate naval missiles... The ship was seriously damaged , causing it to stop completely... As a result of the extensive damage the ship suffered, it is now at risk of sinking in the Gulf of Aden. During the operation, we made sure that the ship’s crew evacuated safely," the statement released by Saree said.

The attack is the latest in a series of operations Yemen has been conducting to force an Israeli ceasefire in Gaza.

Ansarullah said operations were directed only against Israeli ships and others could sail freely in the Red Sea.

However, the US and Britain launched airstrikes in protection of Israeli interests, triggering Yemeni retaliations.

The first Western attacks were conducted on January 23. Ansarullah ever since broadened its target bank saying that American ships are now "legitimate targets."
