Alwaght- Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir -Abdollahian, during his trip to Lebanon and meeting with senior Lebanese officials met the chief of Hezbollah in Beirut on Friday.
In the meeting, Iranian Foreign Minister consulted with Hezbollah’s Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, on the latest regional developments especially the Hamas Resistance movement’s surprise attack on occupied lands and Zionist continuous bombardment of Civilian in Gaza, reported Iran Press news agency.
Amir-Abdollahian at the head of a senior delegation departed Baghdad and arrived in Beirut late on Thursday and met Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Friday.
Amir-Abdollahian and Mikati in the meeting discussed the latest developments in the region and bilateral issues.
Iran’s FM also met with his Lebanese counterpart Abdullah Bou Habibin in Beirut.
The visit to Beirut followed a visit to Iraq in which the top Iranian diplomat sought support for Gaza as it is under heavy Israeli bombardment.
Iran called for an emergency meeting of Organization of Islamic Cooperation to discuss the situation in Gaza.
Amir-Abdollahian also warned from Lebanon that if Israel keeps bombing on the besieged Palestinian enclave, other fronts could be opened against it.
