Alwaght- The West Bank is now part of the Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against Israel, said spokesman to Islamic Jihad’s military wing Saraya Al-Quds.

“We announce the official entry of the West Bank to Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, and the battle may soon be extended to the occupied territories,” said Abu Hamza addressing Tel Aviv leaders.

Addressing the Israelis, he continued: “We are preparing for you outside of Palestine, as we are inside Palestine, and you will see what happened in Gaza in other regions.”

Suggesting that the West Bank and Southern Lebanon are now part of the unprecedented anti-Israeli military campaign, Abu Hamza added that the “fire points” are expanding and “what is happening in southern Lebanon is a small example of what awaits you.”

This is dramatic change to the current war as West Bank for decades has been an area of security for Israel despite its being a powder keg. But since 2021 attacks on the Israelis have heightened in response to the Israeli atrocities.

New resistance groups, led by Lions’ Den, have formed in the West Bank and attacks since last year have considerably increased.

As the Operation Al-Aqsa Storm started on Saturday, Hamas and Islamic Jihad called on the West Bank to rise. Attacks on the Israeli occupation followed Israeli bombing of Gaza.

Israeli forces killed at least 25 people in the West Bank since Saturday.
