Israeli Regime Crackdown on Palestinian's 'Longest Human Chain'

Sunday 27 December 2015
Israeli Regime Crackdown on Palestinian's 'Longest Human Chain'

Alwaght- The Israeli Regime attacked a group of Palestinian activists who formed long human chain around the Eastern al-Quds’s walls, injuring 20 and beating tens.

Hundreds of people participated in the protest despite the heavy presence of Israeli troops who fired sound bombs and tear gas canisters soon as the protesters gathered in the area, calling for the release of the bodies of killed Palestinians, Palestine-based palinfo.com website reported.

The Palestinian website cited Spokesperson for the families of slain Palestinians, Muhammad Alyan, as saying: “We formed the longest human chain to restore the bodies of our sons and daughters. The Israeli occupation does not have the right to withhold dead bodies. This is a policy of collective punishment and a poof of Israel’s inherently sadistic nature.”

The bodies of over 50 Palestinians have been withheld since early October by the Israeli regime, in a move dubbed by observers an attempt to snuff out the flames of third Intifada among the Palestinians.

The al-Quds Intifada that commenced in October has been triggered to end the temporal and spatial division of al-Aqsa Mosque, the Israeli settlement construction, the Judaization schemes, and Israeli regime's brutal attacks on Palestinians.

Over 135 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli regime forces and settlers since the onset of the third Intifada.
