UK Activists Occupy Israeli Arms Firm, Elbit

Tuesday 24 August 2021
UK Activists Occupy Israeli Arms Firm, Elbit

Alwaght- Pro-Palestine activists caused major disruption for Israeli-arms manufacturer Elbit Systems in the UK's Oldham city, Press TV reported.

As well as occupying the roof of Elbit’s buildings, members of the Palestine Action group blocked the main road, while others smashed windows before smearing the building in red paint, the color symbolizes the blood of Palestinians killed in Gaza.

Due to the illegal nature of these protests, the activists will be arrested. Some already carted off as we arrived.

The activists also risk fines, lengthy court battles and possible jail time. Yet, they keep coming back.

Oldham’s site is used to manufacture specialist military products, which have been used in successive Israeli attacks on Gaza.

So, while Gaza remains besieged, Palestine Action vows to continue, as they put it - “occupying the occupiers”.
