Alwaght - Half of the invading forces dispatched to Aden were killed or captured and the rest are just fleeing from the city.
Mohammed Abdulsalam, spokesman and a prominent figure of Yemen's Ansarullah movement, in an exclusive interview with Alwaght analytical news website said that the Saudi military operation over the last six days which aimed to capture Aden has completely failed and the remaining Saudi affiliated forces are just running for their lives.
According to the report, Saudi Arabia, backed by the US battleships and military forces of the United Arab Emirates, had deployed between 400 to 600 trained mercenaries into Eden through the sea and captured areas in eastern Eden, and benefiting intense bombardment against the eastern and southern Aden, which exceeded 1,000 sorties and 4,000 bombs, made attempts to seize the city and move to other governorates in southern Yemen.
Mohammed Abdulsalam, Ansarullah spokesman told alwaght correspondent that forces under joint command of Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the US launched on Wednesday a new organized attack against Aden. They sought to seize the airport and Governor of Aden and then move to other regions. However, after four days of massive operation and suffering hundreds of casualties, they accepted defeat. He added that operating forces, a combination of forces affiliated to Mansour Hadi, the militants of reform party, some units of al-Qaeda, and the new forces dispatched from different countries backed by Saudi and UAE fighters and the US battleships, withdrew from the positions they had seized, as they found that no backups will be provided for them. Nevertheless, at least half of them were killed or captured.
The aggressor forces on the first day, reportedly, incurred 170 losses, 110 in the second day, and 100-150 over the next days. Besides, dozens were captured by the army and Ansarullah.
Since last day, Saudi Arabia has launched a retaliatory offensive against Ansarullah support lines between Lahij and Aden. Saudis have also opened heavy fire on governorates of Marib and Saada. Last day, Anab in northern Eden, came under heavy fire from Saudis.
