Alwaght-Muslim protesters rallied across the world on Friday to voice their anger over a controversial decision by US President Donald Trump to reverse a longstanding policy to recognize al-Quds (Jerusalem) as the capital of the Israeli regime.

Thousands of Somalis took to the streets after Friday prayers in the capital Mogadishu to protest Trump's decision.
The protesters, young and old, raised anti-America slogans. "Down with America, down with Israel," they chanted.
The Somalia government in a statement said: "We call upon the United States to seriously consider the consequences of this decision in the Middle East and the world.”

Hundreds of Sudanese staged demonstrations across Khartoum to protest the US decision.
Protesters demanded the expulsion of the US charge d’affaires in Sudan and chanted anti-US slogans, such as, “Down with the US” and “Death to Trump”.
Demonstrators also carried banners reading, “No to the Judaization of al-Quds”, “No peace, no recognition, no negotiations” and “al-Quds is Palestine’s eternal capital".

The Movement for an Informed Society Malaysia (WADAH) on Friday condemned "in the harshest terms" US President Trump’s decision.
"This move is reckless and provocative, illegal and in total disregard of international norms," the group's president, Ahmad Azam Ab Rahman said in a written statement.
The group said "The occupation of al-Quds since 1967 had always been unlawful and that UN resolutions throughout had reaffirmed its status. The future of resolving the conflict between Israel and Palestine crucially and fundamentally depends on mutual agreements on al-Quds as a final status settlement."
"This outrageous move is only confirming that the US is not a trusted intermediary, not an honest broker and in fact by this act is as if it is a belligerent perpetrator to the ongoing crisis in the region," the president said.

Hundreds of Egyptians demonstrated on Friday in the capital Cairo and the Mediterranean city of Alexandria against US decision.
Hundreds protested at Cairo's Al-Azhar mosque following weekly Friday prayers, raising signs and chanting slogans supporting the Palestinians and their right to establish an independent state and affirming al-Quds's Arab and Islamic identity.
In Alexandria, dozens protested at the Al-Qaed Ibrahim mosque in the central part of the coastal city, burning an Israeli flag and chanting "al-Quds is Arab".

Religious parties and lawyers' associations held protests across the Pakistan on Friday against President Donald Trump's decision to recognize al-Quds as Israel's capital.


In the Lebanese capital, Beirut, thousands turned to condemn Trump’s decision while expressing solidarity with Palestinian resistance movements

Afghans also Friday took to streets across the country in thousands to denounce a move by the US to recognize al-Quds as Israel's capital.
The main protest rally was held in downtown Kabul outside Abdul Rahman Mosque where protesters chanted slogans against the U.S., demanding that the move be reversed.
They urged the Afghan government to expel all US troops from the country in protest.


Thousands of Turkish citizens also took to the streets on Friday against a US decision on al-Quds
Following the Friday prayers, people across Turkey gathered outside the central mosques and chanted anti-Israel and pro-Palestine slogans.

Hundreds of thousands of Iranians took to the streets across the country to protest against US recognition of al-Quds as Israel’s “capital.”
Protesters in the capital city of Tehran and other cities across the country staged anti-Israeli rallies after Friday prayers.
