Alwaght- Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri has provisionally withdrawn his resignation on Wednesday after he was reportedly forced to step down during his visit to Saudi Arabia.
"I presented today my resignation to President Aoun and he urged me to wait before offering it and to hold onto it for more dialogue about its reasons and political background, and I showed responsiveness," Hariri said in a televised statement.
It took 18 days for Hariri to Return his country after his visit into Saudi Arabia, where he was reportedly forced to step down on 4 November as Lebanese president and was made to stay there for two weeks.
Lebanese President Michel Aoun, however, has called Hariri a Saudi hostage and refused to accept his resignation unless he returns to Lebanon.
Hariri was allowed to leave Riyadh after French President's mediation and arrived in Paris on Saturday, accompanied by his wife, Lara al-Azm. However, two of his children were remained in Saudi capital triggering fears that they may have been hold hostage by Saudi regime to pressure Lebanese PM not to reveal real reason behind his 15-day stop in Saudi Arabia and his suspicious resignation.
He headed home on Tuesday with short stops in Cairo, where he met Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, and Cyprus, where he spoke with President Nicos Anastasiades.
He arrived at Beirut airport early on Wednesday, without his wife and children, and left there without addressing journalists gathered to hear a word from Hariri on his resignation.
He then visited the grave of his father, Rafiq Hariri, Lebanon's former prime minister who was assassinated in a 2005 bombing. Hariri later headed to his home in central Beirut.
On morning, Hariri attended independence day celebrations as he has promise back in Paris.
