Alwaght- The US-led coalition airstrike has killed at least 15 women and injured over 50 other civilians in a mourning procession in Iraq’s northern province of Kirkuk.
"Fifteen women were killed and another 50 wounded in a raid that targeted a Shiite place of worship at Daquq," local official Amir Huda Karam told AFP on Friday.
Medical officials have also confirmed the toll.
In another development in the oil-rich Iraqi city, ISIS terrorists have launched multiple attacks and killed at least 16 people, including 12 Iraqi administrators and engineers as well as four Iranian technicians, on the power plant in Dibis District of Kirkuk.
In response, PMF has announced that it will move even more units to assist the Kurdish Peshmerga forces to repel ISIS terrorists.
Kirkuk is about 175 kilometers (109 miles) southeast of Mosul.
Kirkuk has been attacked before by ISIS terrorists. The city's significance stems from the fact its oil reserves are almost as much as those in southern Iraq.
