Alwaght- A Saudi Teacher Called on Saudi capital's municipality officials to change the name of a street that bears the name of ISIS terrorist Group's leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
A Saudi teacher, Ahmad al-Hakami, posted a comment on the official twitter account of Riyadh’s municipality, saying it was “better to change the street name” in a bid not to echo the name of the ISIS terrorist leader, Saudi-based online newspaper Sabq reported.
The municipality’s only response was that the proposal was referred to the relevant department.
"It seems that it’s a mere name resemblance, but if you surf the name in internet (Google), you only get to the notorious ISIS leader,” Hakami told Sabq.
Located in a northern district of the capital, Hay al-Moroj, the street has made controversy during the past year when it got its new name. Many Saudis have so far called for changing the name.
ISIS terrorist group was formed in Iraq's Al-Anbar. The appearance of such terrorist groups was very natural in this state, because of Al-Anbar geopolitical position. Al-Anbar is one of the main Al-Qaeda bases in Iraq where Al-Saud is supporting terrorism, and ethnicism.
ISIS terrorist group has committed vicious crimes, particularly in Iraq and Syria, against all ethnic and religious communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds and Christians.
