ALWAGHT- Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, emphasized the need to strengthen Iran's combat capabilities to deter potential enemy attacks.
On Wednesday, November 27, in honor of National Navy Day, a group of Iranian Navy commanders and officials met with Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, in Tehran.
During the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei described the Navy as a "vital and decisive force" in the modern world. He commended the Navy's achievements in operations, intelligence, logistics, development, and innovation, urging the Iranian Armed Forces, particularly the Navy, to prioritize enhancing preparedness and combat capabilities.
The Leader emphasized that strengthening combat power is essential to deter enemies from attacking Iran. He underscored that preventing aggression is the primary duty of the Iranian Armed Forces, calling on military forces to project such strength that adversaries recognize the high cost of any confrontation with Iran.
Ayatollah Khamenei also highlighted the importance of continuing naval missions, citing the Iranian Navy's 86th flotilla, which completed a month-long global voyage in 2023. He recommended that the details of such missions be shared with the public through artistic mediums to showcase the Navy's achievements.
At the start of the meeting, Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani provided an update on the Navy's plans and activities across various sectors.
