The West’s conflict with Russia is becoming a direct war

The West’s conflict with Russia is becoming a direct war

ALWAGHT- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that while the West's war against Russia still has hybrid elements, it is increasingly transforming into an actual "direct" war.

In a recent interview, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov drew parallels between the current geopolitical landscape and the era of Hitler, asserting that the United States is mobilizing Europe to bear the burden of the war against Russia. He noted that while the conflict has initially featured hybrid warfare tactics, it is increasingly becoming a direct confrontation, with Ukrainian President Zelensky stepping into the role of the “standard-bearer.”

Lavrov emphasized the need for Moscow to remain prepared for ongoing efforts to impede its development, irrespective of the outcome of the upcoming US presidential elections. He stated that Russia must brace for continued assaults on its interests and actions aimed at limiting its growth, regardless of which political party or candidate comes to power.

He further explained that the US tends to frame international issues through a lens focused on preventing any nation from surpassing its influence, a stance reflected in its strategic doctrines. Lavrov criticized this approach as a "utopia," suggesting that it ignores the shifting realities of global power dynamics.

Finally, he pointed out that the share of the United States in global GDP is steadily declining while the contributions from countries like China, India, and the BRICS nations are on the rise. Lavrov argued that the US is reluctant to relinquish the control it established post-World War II through Bretton Woods institutions and the dollar's dominance in the global monetary system, claiming that this dominance is largely artificially sustained.
