ALWAGHT- Iran's exports of non-oil goods reached $17.5 billion in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year, according to the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
The country imported $18.5 billion worth of goods in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to July 22, 2024), Mohammad Rezvanifar reported.
Speaking at an expert-level meeting with members of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (TCCIMA), the deputy economy minister stated that the total value of imports and exports, excluding oil, was $36 billion.
Rezvanifar noted that the export of non-oil commodities increased by eight percent from March 21 to July 21, 2024, compared to the same period last year. During that time, the import of non-oil goods decreased by six percent compared to the previous year.
