ALWAGHT- Lebanon's Foreign Minister Abdallah Rashid Bouhabib cautioned about the adverse impacts of the prolonged Israeli conflict with Gaza on regional stability.
The Lebanese Foreign Minister, Abdallah Rashid Bouhabib, emphasized during a joint press conference with Iran's caretaker foreign minister in Beirut on Monday that the prolonged Israeli military campaign against Gaza would diminish the prospects for peace in the region.
He underscored the shared concerns between Lebanon and Iran regarding the ongoing threat posed by the sustained assault on the Gaza Strip.
In his remarks, the Iranian diplomat mentioned his visit to Beirut to discuss regional issues, particularly the situation in Gaza and Rafah.
Ali Baqeri emphasized the necessity for collective action against the aggressive actions of the Zionist regime, indicating efforts to convene a ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on this matter.
The Iranian caretaker minister also praised the Islamic resistance forces in Lebanon for their role in maintaining stability and peace in the region, affirming Iran's commitment to Lebanon's stability, tranquility, and progress.
