Iran, Culturally-Related Nations Celebrate Nowruz

Alwaght- The new year will be the year of economic prosperity, Iranian President Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi vowed in his Nowruz message.

He said that government will make arrangements to ensure that the country will depart from the unstable economic conditions with participation of people.

“God willing and with the cooperation of the people, I am sure that the Iranian year 1403 will be a more thriving year in terms of production and economy”, Raisi told the nation on Wednesday in his New Year message broadcast on national TV.

He also vowed the government will do its best to beat inflation.

He said that according to the statistics, the economic growth of the country was 6 percent in the past Persian hear, unprecedented in a decade.

The president also touched upon the investments made by the government and also services provided to the citizens.

He also talked about the housing sector, saying that currently about 2.4 million houses are being constructed across the country.

In his Nowruz message before the president, Supreme Leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei had called for economic boost with people's participation. 

"Surge in production through people’s participation", was the slogan the Leader issued for the new year.
