Alwaght- Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Hassan Firouzabadi said Islamic Republic's missile program will continue as before.
"As planned in the country, the missile activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran will face no obstacles," Press TV reported General Hassan Firouzabadi as saying on Sunday.
Responding to a statement by Iranian MPs, who called on the Armed Forces to resume conducting missile tests, Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff said that Iran carries out each missile test after the approval of Iran's supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
In their statement, the Iranian lawmakers had requested that country's Armed Forces resume missile tests in reaction to the US officials’ longstanding rhetoric of using military option facing Iran.
Firouzabadi said Wednesday Iran would continue its missile tests in due course in line with Ayatollah Khamenei's directives.
During Iran- P5+1 talks on Iran's nuclear program, the US along with EU3, compromising Britain, France, Germany, tried to pressurize Iran into limiting its military capabilities, missile capacity in particular.
Iran, based on red lines drawn by the country's supreme leader, refused the unfair condition saying it would only discuss its nuclear program and that its missiles are solely used as a deterrent against any potential foreign aggression.
