Alwaght- Hezbollah leader has hailed heroic Palestinian resistance praised along the border between Gaza and territories occupied by the Israeli regime.
The Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah made the remarks on Sunday afternoon in a televised address to the "Loyalty to Victory Day" gathering in Nabatieh southern Lebanon.
Nasrallah described “The Great March of Return” protests as a “blow to the so-called deal of the century,” referring to US President Donald Trump’s proposal regarding the Palestinian cause.
The Hezbollah leader congratulated the Gaza people and resistance groups on their resistance against the occupying regime’s military.
On March 30, Palestinians marched to the fence separating Gaza from the occupied territories at the start of a six-week protest, dubbed “The Great March of Return,” demanding the right to return for those driven out of their homeland.
The demonstrations turned violent after Israeli forces used tear gas and live fire against the peaceful protesters.
On Friday, similar anti-occupation mass rallies hit Gaza and once again the Israeli regime troops responded with firing live ammunition and tear gas killing nearly a dozen peaceful protestors.
At least 32 Palestinians have been killed and over 2,000 injured by the Israeli military over the past week.
Sayyed Nasrallah also hailed the Yemeni people for their steadfastness and heroic stand against the Saudi aggression. “We salute the Yemeni heroes on the third anniversary of Saudi war,” he said.
Elsewhere in his speech, the Hezbollah leader said that the conspiracy against the stability and security in Lebanon dated back to the year 2000 when the usurper Israeli regime suddenly withdrew its troops from the south of Lebanon, adding that the resistance continued relentlessly thereafter.
He went on to add that the second conspiracy was after the September 11, 2001 incident, saying that the Americans approached him offering him billions of dollars in exchange for cooperation with the Americans and giving up the resistance.
He continued that the third conspiracy was in 2005, when the Western powers once again offered Hezbollah money and power in exchange for giving up the resistance.
The next conspiracy was designed in 2006 along with the Greater Middle East plan, which, according to Nasrallah, was aimed at putting an end to the resistance.
Nasrallah referred to starting the crisis in Syria in 2011 as another conspiracy in order to put an end to the resistance once more.
At the end of his remarks, the Hezbollah leader warned that the enemies are bent on starting a civil war in Lebanon as the most dangerous tool to attack the resistance movement. He urged the Lebanese people to turn out in large numbers during the May 6 elections as a means of thwarting enemy threats against the country.
