ALWAGHT- YAF spokesperson Yahya Saree said Yemeni forces thwarted a Saudi push into eastern al-Jawf, causing casualties and destroying multiple military vehicles during the engagement.
Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree said Yemeni forces thwarted a Saudi-backed advance toward their positions in eastern al-Jawf. He said ballistic missiles and drones were used to repel the attack, with no territorial gains made by the advancing forces.
Saree said the operation inflicted dozens of deaths and injuries among Saudi forces and destroyed several military vehicles. Yemeni forces also carried out strikes against Saudi military positions in Jizan and Asir, reportedly causing casualties and igniting weapons depots.
The Yemeni forces also targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Abha International Airport, and Khamis Mushait Air Base with drones and missiles. Saree additionally announced that a Saudi CH-4 armed reconnaissance drone was shot down over al-Jawf.
