ALWAGHT- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says US economic pressure on the Islamic Republic is bound to fail, just as the previous 12-day and 40-day wars against Iran ultimately did.
President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed the need to preserve economic stability and contain inflation expectations amid war, sanctions, and foreign pressure. He called for close coordination between the government, Central Bank, and other economic institutions to manage key markets, particularly foreign exchange and capital markets.
Pezeshkian praised public and private sectors for overcoming difficulties despite sanctions, saying Iran’s priority remains resolving problems through dialogue and negotiation. At the same time, he vowed that the country would resist US economic pressure, arguing that Washington’s objectives would fail as they had in previous wars against Iran.
