ALWAGHT- Iranian and Pakistani foreign ministers discussed major regional and global developments, sharing perspectives on enhancing cooperation between the two neighboring nations.

On Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar held a phone discussion focusing on regional stability and cooperation. Both officials highlighted the importance of expanding engagement across South and West Asia, emphasizing the need to fully utilize trade and transit routes to boost economic connectivity between their countries and the broader region.

The two ministers stressed the importance of enhancing both bilateral and multilateral collaboration to address shared challenges and advance common interests. They highlighted that active diplomacy, timely information exchange, and coordinated regional initiatives are key to fostering peace, security, and sustainable development across neighboring countries.

Additionally, Araghchi and Dar welcomed the cessation of violence in Gaza and discussed potential joint efforts to support humanitarian relief, strengthen peacebuilding measures, and contribute to long-term stability in conflict-affected areas. The conversation reflects Tehran and Islamabad’s ongoing commitment to fostering regional dialogue and cooperative strategies for addressing political, economic, and security challenges.
