ALWAGHT- According to his political adviser Mahdi Sanaei, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will visit New York in the coming days to participate in the 80th United Nations General Assembly and address world leaders.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will depart Tehran for New York on Tuesday, September 23, following his participation in Iran’s traditional school-year bell-ringing ceremony, according to his adviser Mahdi Sanaei.
Pezeshkian is scheduled to address the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday morning local time (Wednesday evening in Tehran). The session’s theme this year is “Better Together: 80 years and more for peace, development and human rights.”
In addition to delivering his speech, the president will hold bilateral meetings with other heads of state and UN Secretary-General António Guterres, and participate in forums, think-tank discussions, and gatherings with Iranian expatriates in the United States.
