President Pezeshkian calls on Muslims to boycott Israel ahead of Arab-Islamic summit in Doha

ALWAGHT- President Masoud Pezeshkian urged Muslim countries to strengthen unity and adopt a coherent stance by boycotting Israel in response to its acts of aggression.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, before departing for Doha, urged Muslim nations to unite and adopt practical measures — economic, cultural, and social — to boycott Israel in response to its strikes. He stressed that only through unity could Muslim countries prevent Israel from continuing acts of aggression that violate international frameworks and regulations.

The emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, convened by Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, was called to address Israel’s recent missile attack in the Qatari capital. The strike targeted Hamas leaders discussing a proposed US-brokered deal but instead killed five Hamas members and a Qatari security officer. Although top Hamas leaders survived, the attack drew unanimous condemnation from the UN Security Council.

Pezeshkian accused the United States and Western allies of enabling Israel’s “genocide” against Palestinians by providing support and logistics. Ahead of the summit, the OIC and Arab League prepared a joint response, while senior Iranian officials, including Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and security chief Ali Larijani, called for stronger collective action. Iran’s Foreign Ministry also denounced the strikes as a grave violation of international law and the UN Charter.
