ALWAGHT- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf cautioned adversaries against repeating past miscalculations, stressing that Iran stands fully prepared to deliver a decisive response to any act of aggression.
Addressing parliament, Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf emphasized that strengthening Iran’s defense capabilities is now a top priority, assuring citizens that the nation’s military power is being rapidly reinforced. He said lessons from the recent 12-day war revealed areas of weakness that are being corrected while existing strengths are bolstered. Qalibaf warned that Iran’s Armed Forces are fully prepared to respond decisively to any future aggression and that proper planning is focused on preventing enemy miscalculations.
He pointed to recent military drills, including the Navy’s “Sustainable Might” exercise, as a clear signal that Iran will not show restraint in a future conflict and could expand retaliation into new regions, as well as economic and political domains. Stressing the importance of unity, Qalibaf credited the Iranian people’s support for the military and leadership as a decisive factor in thwarting enemy plots and preserving the country’s territorial integrity.
The 12-day conflict, launched by the Zionist regime on June 13 with US escalation on June 22, targeted Iran’s military, nuclear, and residential sites. In response, Iran carried out Operation True Promise III, delivering 22 waves of missile strikes against occupied territories and later striking the US al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar. The confrontation ended with a ceasefire on June 24, leaving national unity and military preparedness as central elements of Iran’s deterrence strategy.
