ISIS Claims Responsibility for Twin Attacks in Iran Capital; 12 Killed, 42 Injured

Alwaght- At least twelve people were killed and 42 were injured in two separate attacks against Iran’s Parliament and the Mausoleum of Imam Khomeini in the capital Tehran.

people were killed, including parliament's guards and civilians, when four gunmen, holding AK-47 assault rifles and pistol, intruded into the premises of Parliament (Majlis) at 7:00 GMT and opened fire on the people.

Iran national TV cited an interior ministry official as saying assailants were dressed in woman's clothes.

Tasnim News agency said security forces have killed all attackers at 11:40 GMT.

None of the lawmakers have been harmed in the attack, which hit the parliament's center for public meetings.

In the second attackm three assailants, two wearing explosive belts, opened fire on people at 7:15 GMT at the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini in southern Tehran.

Tehran Emergency Chief Pirhousein koulivand Told IRNA at least 12 were killed and 42 were wounded in suspected terrorist attacks. 

ISIS terrorist group claimed responsibility for the twin attack via its news agency Amaq.

One of the Attackers detonated his explosive belt and the second gunman was killed.  Security forces defused his explosive belt. He was carrying 8 grenades, 10 magazines, a bottle filled with pink fluid.
