Muslims Must Adopt Europe’s Values or Get Out: German Minister

Alwaght- A German minister has brazenly stated that Muslims who migrate to Europe must adopt the continent's values or move elsewhere.

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said on Wednesday that migrants who do not accept Europeans’ life style should be told "you have made the wrong decision."

Speaking during a round table discussion in Berlin, Schaeuble added that "There are better places in the world to live under Islamic law than Europe."

Turning to the euro zone, he said that if European countries want to keep the euro, they must implement the common currency's framework of joint responsibility.

Last year, Schaeuble, who is a known long-time ally of Chancellor Angela Merkel, stated that the influx of refugees was “a challenge for the open-mindedness of mainstream society.”

In a guest article in Welt am Sonntag paper, the 74-year-old politician urged Muslim newcomers to adopt what he called, “German Islam,” based on liberalism and tolerance.

Almost 1 million migrants from West Asia (Middle East) and Africa arrived in Germany in 2015, according to the country’s estimates.

The numbers spurred social tension and led to numerous anti-government protests against Merkel’s so-called ‘open door' immigration policy.

The situation also saw the rise of the right-wing and anti-immigrant Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which gained foothold in almost all of the country’s 16 state parliaments since the eruption of the refugee crisis in 2015.

Interventionist policies by Western countries, especially backing Takfiri terrorist groups in West Asia and North Africa is a major cause of the current refugee crisis in the European Union.
