Iran, Venezuela Adopted Anti-Bullying Approaches: Zarif

Alwaght- Delcy Rodriguez Venezuelan Foreign Minister along with Venezuelan Oil Minister Rafael Ramirez visited Tehran on Monday to discuss mutual and international interests .

Condemning the US painting Venezuela a threat, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Tehran and Caracas have adopted similar approaches dealing with threats and use of force .

Regarding Venezuela’s membership in the UN Security Council (UNSC) and the pressing challenges facing the region, Tehran and Caracas have adopted common policies in opposing the use of force and bullying approaches,” Zarif said in a joint press conference with his Venezuelan counterpart in Tehran on Monday .

In March, US President labeled Venezuela as an “extraordinary threat to national security” and issued an order to impose new sanctions on the country. Venezuelan people like the Iranian nation have stood up to foreign threats, he added .

Also underlining the necessity of coordination between Tehran and Caracas on oil policies, Zarif said that he and his Venezuelan counterpart had held discussion in that respect .

Regarding the fact Both countries are OPEC member states, Zarif and Rodriguez called for the further enhancement of bilateral relations between Iran and Venezuela, saying that Tehran-Caracas cooperation would serve the interests of both countries and can help to the stability of the oil market .

Earlier in January, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro stressed the further expansion of bilateral ties in political, economic and cultural fields .
