Alwaght-Despite Saudi regime's brutal aggression, Yemeni people are
ready to embark on peace talks if Saudi regime-led bombing is halted and the
negotiations are overseen by "non-aggressive" parties, a senior
Ansarullah member said.
Saleh al-Sammad, who was an adviser to Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, told
Reuters in emailed answers that Yemenis reject the return of Hadi, who escaped
to Saudi Arabia.
Warplanes and ships from a Saudi-led coalition have been bombing
the Yemeni people for 12 days,
killing almost 600 civilians and injuring more than 2000.
"We still stand
by our position on dialogue and we demand its continuation despite everything
that has happened, on the basis of respect and acknowledging the other,"
Sammad said.
"We have no
conditions except a halt to the aggression and sitting on the dialogue table
within a specific time period ... and any international or regional parties
that have no aggressive positions towards the Yemeni people can oversee the
dialogue," Sammad said.
Sammad added that he wanted the dialogue sessions aired to the
Yemeni people "so that they can know who is the obstructer".
Yemen is a country that have long been
undermined and oppressed by the Saudi Arabia and Al-Saud monarchy. They have
made Yemen's misery as a sign of their pride.
This policy of humiliating and
destroying Yemen was among the recommendations of the founder of the Saudi
entity, Abdul Aziz, since he considered its neighboring country as a competitor
and threatening to the "Saudi superiority".
