Arab States Support to Syria Terrorists Exceeds Support to Palestine: Hezbollah

Alwaght-Hezbollah leader has hailed the liberation of Syria’s Aleppo as a major victory for the axis of Resistance

Addressing Hezbollah university students via video link during an academic ceremony held in Beirut on Friday, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah said that the battle in Aleppo was fierce considering the fact that Takfiri terrorists had wide-ranging support.

“What happened in Aleppo is a real and tough war,” the resistance leader said, noting that huge numbers of foreign terrorists from across the world took part in battles which took place south and west of Aleppo. “In face of this big battle our sacrifices were also huge.”

He dismissed as baseless allegations that the terrorists in Aleppo were abandoned by their backers, saying that “support offered to Syria terrorists by Arab states in six years exceeded support offered to Palestine in sixty years.”

“Militants’ failure in Syria was not because of lack in support but because of the determination of Syria and its allies to defeat terrorism.”

The Hezbollah leader added that the retaking of Aleppo stressing that the Takfiris and their backers have failed to topple the Syrian government and take over the country.

Terrorists not Connected to Islam

Elsewhere in his remarks, Sayyed Nasrallah said Takfiri terrorists perpetrating heinous crimes across the West Asia region and North Africa have no connection to Islam and the religion's most revered figure Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

He stated that the ideology behind extremism stems from Wahhabism, and that Wahhabis have turned a blind eye to the critical issues of Muslims, particularly the Palestinian cause.

Sayyed Nasrallah also congratulated both Muslims and Christians on the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Prophet Jesus (PBUH).

The Hezbollah leader stated that efforts to tarnish the image of Islam have entered a new phase, stressing that all Muslims bear the responsibility of denouncing the atrocities and make it known to the international community that the crimes are not linked to Islam.

Sayyed Nasrallah went on to say that Muslims worldwide must denounce the barbarism of Wahhabi extremists, and that no religion or ideology agrees to the ferociousness of the Takfiri ISIS terrorist group. “Those who keep silent are partners in these crimes,” he warned.

Dangers of Wahhabi Ideology

Sayyed Nasrallah talked about some crime committed by the Takfiri terrorists, explaining their way of thinking and warning against threat posed by such insurgents who follow the Wahhabi ideology.

“Marking Prophet Mohammad’s birth anniversary is banned by the Wahhabi ideology and targeted by the followers of this ideology.”

“Sending children to carry out suicide attacks is something very dangerous, horrible and must be denounced,” Lebanese leader said referring to the blast which took place in Damascus last week and was carried out by a seven-year-old girl wearing suicide belt.

Turkey Must Denounce ISIS

Sayyed Nasrallah then voiced condemnation to ISIS’s burning to death two Caged Turkish soldiers in Aleppo, warning that Turkey is paying price its support to the Takfiri group. In this regard, Sayyed Nasrallah called on Ankara to disavow ISIS.

“Turkey banned social media yesterday in a bid to prevent its people from seeing the price of supporting ISIS” Sayyed Nasrallah said.

The Hezbollah leader also urged the media to avoid using the term terrorism while talking about Islam and Muslims, stressing that all Muslims must disavow atrocities committed by Takfiris.

Meanwhile, Sayyed Nasrallah condemned the Bahraini regime’s attempt to attack the house of prominent Shia cleric Ayatollah Sheikh Issa al-Qassem on Thursday.

On the local front, he stressed that Hezbollah has sought partnership with all Lebanese factions and was keen that all parties should be represented in the government.

Sayyed Nasrallah also said that the Lebanese security apparatus must be alert in order to confront any potential Takfiri attack while urging all Lebanese factions to cooperate in a bid to deal with challenges facing the country.
