ISIS Chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi Wounded in Iraq: Report

Alwaght- ISIS Takfiri terrorist group chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has reportedly been wounded in Iraq following an air strike close to the Syrian border, media reports said Friday.

Iraqi news channel Al Sumariya TV said local sources in Iraq’s Nineveh province had confirmed that the notorious al- Baghdadi and several of his henchmen in the Takfiri terrorist group were wounded on Thursday in an airstrike.

According to reports, Baghdadi was injured along with some members of the terrorist group who were gathered at that meeting.

In recent few months, there have been several reports claiming Baghdadi's injuries and even deaths but sadly, none of the report managed to get an official confirmation. Last October Iraq’s Air Force struck the convoy of al-Baghdadi as he was about to meet with the terror group’s top commanders. During that raid, top ISIS commanders were killed including Abu Saed al-Karbuli, and a Georgian-born Chechen known by the name of Abu Omar al-Shishani.

Al-Shishani was “in charge of Daesh [ISIS] propagations.” The report of the commanders’ death has not been officially verified as of yet. Early Marc, intelligence sources said al-Baghdadi had moved from Turkey to Libya after he was traced down and allegedly targeted a number of times in Iraq and the Syria.

Sources disclosed that the ISIS chief had been taken to Turkey for treatment through a series of coordination measures by the US spy agency, the CIA.

"The CIA has done the coordination with the Turkish intelligence service (MIT) for transferring al-Baghdadi to Turkey," the Arabic-language al-Manar TV quoted unnamed sources as saying.

Last December sources in Libya claimed al-Baghdadi had arrived in Sirte, the hometown of the slain Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi, which is under the control of the Takfiri groups.

The notorious ISIS chief is on the run after his terrorist group suffered under massive airstrike by the Syrian, Russian and Iraqi Air Forces all throughout the Western Iraq and Eastern Syria.
