ALWAGHT- The Iranian Permanent Mission in Geneva inaugurated an exhibition at the UN headquarters on Tuesday featuring artwork created by children from Minab under the title “Children of Minab Still Draw the Sun.”
The week-long exhibition at the UN headquarters in Geneva showcases paintings by children from Minab, depicting the suffering caused by US and Israeli attacks on Iran and the destruction of their once peaceful lives.
Many of the artworks were created by students of Shajareh Tayyebeh Primary School, with some reportedly recovered from the rubble after the February 28, 2026 strike that killed or injured children and teachers.
Held to mark the International Day to Protect Education from Attack, the exhibition highlights the devastating impact of war on children and calls for greater protection of schools and the right to education.
