ALWAGHT- On Friday, Iran's foreign minister warned his British counterpart that any cooperation with aggressors targeting Iran is "unacceptable" and amounts to an act of aggression under international law.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi criticized Britain’s designation of Iran’s armed forces and its stance on recent conflicts involving the United States and Israel, calling London’s approach unjustified and urging a review of the policy.
During a phone call with British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, Araghchi said US and Israeli military actions against Iran were the main cause of current regional tensions. He added that Iran had pursued diplomacy in good faith but accused Washington of violating commitments and preventing the implementation of a ceasefire arrangement.
Araghchi also warned that interference by third parties in Iran’s efforts to manage shipping transit through the Strait of Hormuz would worsen tensions. Miliband said Britain was not involved in the conflict and emphasized the importance of continued diplomacy to ease regional tensions and improve relations with Iran.
