ALWAGHT- Citing growing concerns over nuclear facility security in the region, IAEA Director General announced the agency will actively maintain nuclear safety and support diplomatic solutions, adding that he will soon travel to the Persian Gulf coastal states.
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated that the UN nuclear watchdog will use "all its capacities and mandates" to guarantee nuclear safety and security while supporting diplomatic efforts. Citing recent developments and rising concerns over regional nuclear installations, Grossi said the IAEA is closely monitoring the situation. He also announced he will soon travel to the Persian Gulf, as heightened regional tensions have made protecting sensitive energy infrastructure a central focus of international consultations.
