ALWAGHT- Pakistan's Foreign Minister urges caution regarding Tehran-Washington negotiations, reiterates ongoing support for diplomatic process.
Pakistan is facilitating talks between Iran and the United States for peace and stability in the region, according to a statement from Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, who emphasized that media should rely solely on official sources for information regarding the negotiations.
During a meeting reviewing regional developments, Dar clarified that Pakistan will continue its efforts in this regard. The Iranian side has maintained that recent meetings between Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi and Pakistani officials were part of ongoing bilateral consultations on regional issues and the ceasefire, rather than a resumption of negotiations.
Previously, Pakistan had attempted to organize another round of talks during the initial two-week ceasefire after the first round ended without a breakthrough. However, Iran stated it would not negotiate under threat, citing US violations of ceasefire commitments and the illegal naval blockade of Iranian ports.
