ALWAGHT- Aziz Nasirzadeh, Iran’s minister of defense, stated that relations between Iran and the Republic of Armenia have always been founded on peace and friendship.
Aziz Nasirzadeh met with visiting Suren Papikyan in Tehran, expressing hope that the friendly relations between Iran and the Republic of Armenia would continue to expand across all fields, particularly in defense. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral defense cooperation and issues of mutual interest.
Nasirzadeh emphasized that Iran–Armenia relations are developing rapidly and underscored the importance of dialogue on border, security, and geopolitical matters. He reiterated that ties between the two countries have always been rooted in peace and friendship.
Papikyan stressed Armenia’s strong commitment to relations with Iran, especially in the defense sphere. The meeting highlighted both sides’ determination to deepen military cooperation and contribute to regional peace and security, coinciding with Papikyan’s official visit to Iran.
