ALWAGHT- Iran’s senior military commander states that all adversarial movements are being closely monitored, pledging a decisive retaliation against any hostile act.
Iran’s Army Chief Commander, Major General Amir Hatami, stated that the Air Force’s courageous performance during last June’s 12-day war forced the enemy to seek a ceasefire. He warned adversaries “not to make a new mistake,” asserting that the Air Force is now at a high level of readiness and would play a major role in any response.
The commander described the ongoing US military presence in the region as nothing new but emphasized that Iran remains prepared to strongly defend its independence and territorial integrity. This follows last year’s war, which began while Iran was engaged in nuclear talks and included US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites—attacks that Iran responded to by targeting strategic sites in the occupied territories and a major US base.
With the US recently redeploying forces and threatening military action, Iranian officials have warned that any attack would trigger an immediate and wider regional war. In a stark message, Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi cautioned that any adventurism against Iran would lead to the enemy’s “strategic defeat” and spread conflict across the region.
