ALWAGHT- Iran's Foreign Ministry strongly denounces the European Parliament's resolution with unsubstantiated and inaccurate allegations about events in Iran, as well as interfering and irresponsible remarks against Tehran.
The European Parliament's resolution containing false claims about recent events in Iran and irresponsible statements against Tehran lacks moral credibility due to its history of human rights violations, including support for Israeli aggression against Palestine and the imposition of cruel sanctions on Iran. The resolution is seen as an attempt by the supporters of the regime responsible for the massacre of Palestinians to divert attention from Europe's dual approach towards Israeli crimes.
The European Parliament's approval of silence towards genocide in occupied Palestine and disregard for crimes committed during protests in Iran are two sides of the same coin. The drafters of the resolution have based their work on lies fabricated by Israeli media and warmongers in the United States, distorting facts and ignoring the clear role of the Israeli regime and the US in orchestrating violence against Iranian citizens.
The Islamic Republic emphasizes the preservation of fundamental rights of its people, but it also prioritizes the security of its citizens, public order, and national sovereignty against acts of terrorism, foreign threats, and interference. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the offensive statements in the European Parliament's resolution regarding Iran's officials and legal institutions and warned that any unlawful decision or position concerning the armed forces and security guardians of the Islamic Republic will be met with an equal response.
