ALWAGHT- The IRGC carried out extensive military drills, named “Towards Holy Quds,” in various regions throughout Tehran Province.
The deputy commander of the IRGC’s Tharallah Headquarters in Tehran Province stated that the exercise involved ground, air, and intelligence units, emphasizing rapid troop deployment, swift positioning, and defensive scenario execution. The results highlighted a high level of preparedness among IRGC forces to respond to potential security threats.
He noted that the defensive capability of IRGC units in the capital region is a key component of Iran’s broader strategy to ensure internal stability and deter destabilizing actions, relying on continuous training, organizational cohesion, and public support.
The IRGC’s Seyyed al-Shohada Corps commander added that the exercise, “Ela Beit al-Moqaddas 16,” was conducted in two phases. The first phase, “Show of Strength,” involved all Basij battalions in early December, while the second phase focused on defensive operations with five simulated defense missions across seven operational axes, using military equipment and live ammunition to test field readiness.
