ALWAGHT- Although US President Donald Trump instructed Israel to stop its assaults, the Israeli military has maintained its air and artillery operations, leaving seven Palestinians dead and numerous others injured since early Monday.
Israeli forces have intensified their attacks on Gaza City despite ongoing ceasefire negotiations in Egypt. Medical sources reported that several Palestinians, including children, were injured after strikes near al-Rum School in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, while three others were shot dead near the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation zone. Over a 48-hour period, the Israeli military launched 131 air and artillery strikes across the Strip, resulting in 94 civilian deaths—61 of them in Gaza City alone.
According to Gaza authorities, the bombardments over the weekend were among the deadliest, with Israeli warplanes targeting residential areas in Tal al-Hawa, the Shati refugee camp, and the Nassr district. Civil defense teams said at least two dozen Palestinians were killed on Sunday, and rescue efforts remain hindered by fuel shortages and limited equipment. Israeli drones and warships also continue to target displaced Palestinians attempting to flee southward along the coast.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate sharply. Hospitals recorded another death from malnutrition, bringing the total to 460, including 154 children. The UN has warned that one in five babies in Gaza is now born prematurely or underweight. Since the start of Israel’s campaign, at least 67,160 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 170,000 injured—most of them women and children—while thousands have been killed or wounded while seeking food and aid.
