A Grand Funeral Was Held in Iran to Honor the Martyrs of The Israeli-US Attacks

ALWAGHT- The Islamic Republic of Iran organized a major funeral service for those martyred during the 12-day Israeli-US assault.

A grand funeral procession was held in Tehran for 60 martyrs, including nuclear scientists, military commanders, and civilians killed in Israeli strikes. The ceremony began at Enqelab Square and proceeded to Azadi Square, drawing a massive crowd chanting slogans against Israel and the US. High-ranking officials, including Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Brigadier General Esmail Qa’ani, attended the event, which featured coffins draped in Iranian flags and banners referencing missile retaliation against Israel.

Iranian leaders paid tribute to the martyrs’ sacrifice, emphasizing their steadfastness and refusal to surrender despite heavy bombardment. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi highlighted that Iranians gave their blood but not their honor, while Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei described the martyrs as heroic seeds for future generations. The funeral coincided with the Islamic month of Muharram, drawing parallels between the martyrs and Imam Hussein’s historic stand for justice, symbolizing national unity and resilience in the face of aggression.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry described the funeral as a powerful demonstration of national unity and resistance, sending a message to the world about Iran’s determination to transform threats into solidarity and conflict into a reaffirmation of national will. The ceremony honored more than 600 victims of Israeli and US aggression, reinforcing Iran’s commitment to independence, dignity, and continued resistance against external pressures.
