ALWAGHT- Iran’s IRGC declared that any act of aggression will provoke an overwhelming response far greater than adversaries can imagine.
In a statement issued Saturday to mark the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr—a southwestern Iranian city recaptured from Iraq’s Baathist forces in the early 1980s—the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) declared that it stands at the peak of strength, drawing on its unwavering support from the Iranian people. The IRGC emphasized that it continues to enhance its readiness daily in the face of enemy threats.
The statement affirmed the IRGC’s close coordination with other branches of Iran’s armed forces and stressed that it remains poised to deliver a decisive response to any hostile act. It warned that any aggression would be met with an overwhelming and unimaginable reaction, one that would leave aggressors with deep regret.
The IRGC also cautioned that such a response would shift the regional balance of power in favor of what it called “the front of truth,” and against the United States and its “Zionist proxy regime” in West Asia. Echoing this stance, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei warned in March that any malicious act against Iran would provoke a fierce retaliatory strike.
