ALWAGHT- Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has urged deeper relations with Japan.
In a meeting with Japan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Namazu Hiroyuki—who visited Tehran to attend the 33rd Iran-Japan Vice-Ministerial Consultation—Iran’s top diplomat, Abbas Araghchi, expressed Iran’s readiness to enhance ties with Japan.
Araghchi highlighted the long-standing friendly relations between the two countries and emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation across all sectors, particularly in economic and trade fields. He also welcomed closer consultations with Japan on both regional and international matters.
Namazu Hiroyuki, for his part, acknowledged the historical friendship between Iran and Japan and underscored the need to continue dialogue to further bilateral cooperation and exchange views on global and regional developments.
Earlier on Tuesday, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi, also held talks with Hiroyuki on bilateral ties and issues of mutual concern.
